DR. SAM ZULU
Dr. Zulu is a Reader in Quantity Surveying and Construction Project Management at Leeds Beckett University. He has over 20 years of teaching experience in Higher Education. Prior to joining academics, he worked as a quantity surveyor. His research interests span many areas, including sustainable infrastructure, organisational and management issues, information & communications technology, Building Information Modelling, and built environment education. He has published journal and conferences papers related to these areas, including aspects linked to the impact of technological advances on organisational and management practices in the construction industry.
NOEL TAYLOR
Noel is Principal at Noel Taylor Consulting. He established his consultancy business in 2014. He provides services to construction SMEs assisting them to conceive, implement and lead quality programmes (particularly linked to ISO9001) and learning programmes (training and development, apprenticeship schemes). Noel currently acts as Head of Quality and Learning for The Horbury Group. Previous to this, he gained extensive experience in senior financial roles within the logistics and manufacturing sectors.
ANDREW PARTINGTON
Andrew is the National Training Officer for the Dry Lining & Plastering Training Forum (DLPTF) it is responsible to its members to maximise the training and funding opportunities available to them and to promote the qualities and standards-driven by the CITB. Andrew is a trained management consultant with a career spanning working in the City of London to establishing businesses and developing them to profitability, building delivery teams, establishing routes to market and sustainable growth. He has over 30 years of experience in the training industry and has developed a wide portfolio of knowledge in delivering large-scale solutions to meet strategic skills gaps in the industry.
PETER ROUTLEDGE
Peter is Managing Director at White Frog Publishing, author, trainer a regular speaker at events, and Autodesk Developer Network (ADN) member. Peter’s highly technical engineering background, international industry experience assures his expertise to advise government departments, leading property developers, main contractors, and major design consultancies on strategic BIM adoption. Peter has extensive international experience at the highest level; has provided training and consultancy services to many Government Organisations, Institutions, and Associations throughout Europe, America, Africa, China, and the Middle East; with over thirty-five years of experience in the construction industry, including over 25 years expertise managing engineering software businesses. Enjoys excellent relationships in the international engineering software community and with many of the major corporations within the construction industry.
DR. BARRY GLEDSON
Barry is a Senior Lecturer in Construction Project Management at Northumbria University. His experience in industry, teaching, and research spans over 20 years. He has led and taught on a range of Construction Engineering, and Project Management undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Barry is a Chartered Construction Manager (MCIOB), a Full Member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM), and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). Before commencing his academic career as a senior lecturer he spent a decade in the employment of major construction organizations working in a project management capacity: planning construction operations, managing on-site activities, and winning new projects across the UK and for a brief early period in Washington DC. His research interests and expertise revolve around digital innovations (e.g., 4D Building Information Modelling, etc.), their diffusion, and potential for improving construction project delivery and performance, and CPM practice. Additionally, themes of built environment sustainability and organizational learning from project experiences (e.g., the impact of digital technologies on-site processes) are also evident throughout work and higher-degree project supervisions.
